Another corporation demands passive victimhood

SuperAmerica has fired a clerk who scuffled with a robber who he thought was attacking a coworker. While I understand why a company would have rules saying that employees give robbers what they want without resisting, the rules change when you think that you or another person is in imminent risk of injury or death. Sorry, guys, sometimes criminals attack you even when you cooperate. What was he supposed to do, let the robber hurt someone?

Even though there is some question as to whether the other employee was actually in danger, this man acted like a hero, and deserves to be commended, not fired.
