Catching up at Say Uncle’s, I ran across this:

FBI Data On officers killed in the line of duty. Down 17 from last year

Great news. Fewer officers killed in the line of duty is a Good Thing.

Then there was this:

Beretta: First quarter sales are up 66% compared to last year.

And this:

Sturm, Ruger‘s corporate report, in pdf. Firearm sales up 55%, production up 69%, but not keeping pace with demand, backorders are up to nearly half a million firearms

Huh. People must be growing immune to the mind control waves from guns that make you want to shoot people. Or maybe, More Guns = Less Crime, or at least fewer officer homicides. At worst, the two are not linked.
