In the comments, have you bought any new guns due to the Obama election, and do you plan to?
I didn’t, but I did move ordering an upper for my AR build up by a little bit, partly due to the election.

Luckily I had all my major purchases out of the way well before The One ever got to the primaries – and well before prices went nuts.
Like Alan, I did stock up on mags, ammo and components though. Also got into casting.

Yes, I bought an AR and a Sig P229R and a bunch of high cap AR & pistol mags.
I’ll buy another AR lower when the prices get somewhat reasonable again. Oh, and I’ve been steadily stocking up on ammo. I’ve now got a few thousand rounds of all the calibers I need.

I ordered a M1 carbine from the CMP right after the election. Wife added a Beretta 92FS to her safe. Both were purchased because they would fall under a possible ban on firearms designed for military use.
While also stocking up on ammo and reloading supplies in general, I’ve also been going a bit heavy on 7.62×25 Tokarev in case that round gets classified as “armor-piercing”. -
Yeah I overpaid for an Armalite AR because my younger son didn’t have the bucks and I wanted him to be able to have one when he gets the cash. also picked up a Sig P226 for the bride, since she like my P229 in .40 S&W. Didn’t really buy it as preemptive anti – Obama move, but now that I think about it, the 12 round mags would make it verboten under a new Dem AWB.
