A Muslim cemetery in Mumbai refuses to bury the slain terrorists, claiming they are not true followers of Islam.

Personally, I think Islam is a militant religion, but if Islamic leaders want there to be any validity to the claims that Islam is peaceful, they need to take these sorts of actions. While it may seem like a small thing to us, it will be noticed by other potential terrorists, because in their belief things done even to their dead bodies can affect what happens in the afterlife. This is the first substantive action taken by Islamic leaders against terror that I can remember. The only other things were tepid claims that Islam is peaceful.

Until more leaders take these sorts of actions, I cannot take the claims that Islam is a peaceful religion seriously.

Burying them with a pig would probably work even better at dissuading those with terrorist bent.
