Quote of the Day – Anthropomorphic Edition

I suppose the Mayor is trying to say that the gun is a more lasting threat or something, BUT A GUN DOES NOT LIVE FOREVER. IT IS NOT ALIVE IN THE FIRST PLACE. It has been said often, but until we stop hearing stupid stuff like this, it will be said again. A gun does not have a will, except for the will of the person holding it.
This actually points to why hoplophobes are they way they are.
They ascribe will and intent to the gun so they are afraid of it. They can’t see it as the inanimate object that it is.
