The use of a governmental department to punish political foes is completely unacceptable, and Gov. Christie should resign.

Right after the President who’s IRS persecuted his political opponents does.

Abusing political power is a serious thing. If Christie knew what was going on, or worse ordered it, I think he needs to consider very carefully what his future is and should be. If he was my governor, I might not call on him to resign for, as far as I could find, 4 days of a traffic jam. I would, however, be taking it into serious consideration the next election.

I think that both the magnitude and length of time it was happening make the IRS’s targeting of Tea Party and similar groups much more serious, and a much stronger case of the man in charge should have known what was going on.
