Target guns in England
A couple days ago Snowflakes in Hell had a post about officials looking to allow Olympic athletes to train with handguns in England. This is a good thing. While allowing only Olympic athletes to train with handguns on military ranges seems to be a tiny step, it is a step in the right direction, and we need to take every step we can, no matter how small. Furthermore, every right that is restored to people in the rest of the world is less leverage that can be used against America. The U.N. has been working to push gun bans throughout the world. While America have resisted attempts to push these sorts of bans so far, a Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton administration might be willing to sign on to one.
The other benefit to throwing some support behind this is to take the fight right to the door of Rebecca Peters, et. al. Make them fight it there, and on an issue where we don’t have anything more to lose. They really can’t ban handguns any more than they already are in Britain.
Any gun owner or freedom advocate who can do anything to support this needs to do so. It is never too late to try to restore freedom. We have made great strides in the U.S. to restore our freedoms, and will continue to do so. We need to do what we can to make it happen in other countries as well. It is in out best interest as gun owners, and for the world at large.
