To who ever it was claiming the Obama would be a “moderating influence”

November 5, 2008

This guy has a more liberal voting record than EVERYONE in the Senate, including an avowed socialist. What is he going to moderate Ried and Pelosi from? Going too far right?

Quote of the Day – Not Here Edition

November 2, 2008

Here’s what I don’t understand.  Do these people honestly believe it helps their candidates to show up the weekend before an election and destroy people’s property?  I saw those signs, and I wanted to vote for those folks even more because I REFUSE to tolerate Chicago-style politics in my neighborhood.

For every sign they ripped and cut, I knocked on at least one door today.  For every sign they ripped and cut, I called at least two people.

For every sign they rip and cut tonight, I will knock on at least two doors tomorrow.  For every sign they rip and cut tonight, I will call at least four people tomorrow. – Bitter

Quote of the Day – Zombie Edition

October 29, 2008

If you’re in Chicago, you have less than one week to prepare for the semi-annual event in which the dead walk the earth to vote. Be prepared. – Say Uncle

I better check the ammo supply, I’m not that far north…

Quote of the Day – Aren’t You a Marxist Edition

October 28, 2008

You may recognize this famous quote: “From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs.” That’s from Karl Marx. How is Senator Obama not being a Marxist if he intends to spread the wealth around? – WFTV’s Barbara West

No, Joe, She isn’t joking, and maybe you should go back and listen to Obama’s answer to Joe the Plumber: “I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.”

Quote of the Day – Near-Impossible Edition

October 25, 2008

Not only has Barack Obama achieved the rare task of making Bill Clinton look conservative; he achieved the near-impossible task of making Hillary Clinton look more conservative by comparison.  – Jim Geraghty

Astroturf Rednecks

October 21, 2008

Bitter had a post earlier about “rednecks for Obama,” saying the astroturf meter was pegged.

Bitter and I did a little more research, and found (from Bitter’s):

  • They registered their domain through a proxy.
  • They list a mailing address for merchandise at an address in Pennsylvania while claiming to be in Missouri.
  • The mailing address is a box of some kind. Based on the address style, I would have assumed it was something like a Mail Boxes Etc., but the only business that Google turns up at that address is an Allentown, PA deli known as The Philosopher’s Stone.
  • [snip]
  • One of the multiple Obama offices in downtown Allentown just happens to be in the exact same building.

Also, the founders have been politically active for some time, despite the claim that: “Tony Viessman, 74, and Les Spencer, 60, got politically active last year when it occurred to them there must be other lower income, rural, beer-drinking, gun-loving, NASCAR race enthusiasts fed up with business as usual in Washington.” Not that they shouldn’t be politically active, but let’s be honest here.

Interesting group of Missouri rednecks that are running things through a private mailbox in Allentown, PA.

And to top it off, the comment left at Bitter’s defending the “rednecks” was from an IP address in PA.

Not to say that there aren’t some rednecks that support Obama (I say you can find just about anything out there) but this group really doesn’t seem to be what it claims to be.

I don’t see it…

October 16, 2008

Gateway Pundit claimes to have a picture of Barack [redacted] Obama talking to a group of ACORN members, proving that Obama lied in the debate about his ACORN involvement.

Funny, that’s not what I saw…
