Quote of the Day – Two Types of Voters Edition

February 7, 2009

There are two types of people that voted in the last election: those that remember Jimmy Carter, and those who are about to learn – Overheard at a family gathering

I know it isn’t quite that simple, but funny none the less.

Quote of the Day – Past Presidents Edition

November 25, 2008

You have the naivete of President Kennedy, the fiscal policy of President Carter and the charisma of President Clinton. Keep that in mind because possessing all three simultaneously is not a recipe for Presidential success. – Armed Canadian

More like this, please

November 3, 2008

I have been a little remiss in downstream elections, so to make up for it….

You have to like a guy like this:

We need to make sure that the we are voting in the downstream elections, and getting guys like Paul Ryan elected/reelected. Even if you can’t bring yourself to vote for McCain, at least vote in the downstream elections.

Quote of the Day – Not Here Edition

November 2, 2008

Here’s what I don’t understand.  Do these people honestly believe it helps their candidates to show up the weekend before an election and destroy people’s property?  I saw those signs, and I wanted to vote for those folks even more because I REFUSE to tolerate Chicago-style politics in my neighborhood.

For every sign they ripped and cut, I knocked on at least one door today.  For every sign they ripped and cut, I called at least two people.

For every sign they rip and cut tonight, I will knock on at least two doors tomorrow.  For every sign they rip and cut tonight, I will call at least four people tomorrow. – Bitter

Rasmussen: McCain trusted more on the ecconomy and taxes

October 30, 2008

McCain also has gained ground as the candidate to trust on economic issues. Forty-eight percent (48%) now trust the Republican hopeful more than the Democrat while 47% hold the opposite view. This is the first time McCain has led on the issue that has hurt his campaign since September 17. One month ago, Obama held a nine-point advantage when it came to economic issues.

Rasmussen Reports

It has long been assumed that the ecconomy would be an issue that would hurt McCain. If it goes neutral, or advantage to McCain, that could be a large advantage for him.
