Now what could that be?
November 1, 2011Losing points
October 31, 2011With concealed carry becoming law tomorrow, Wisconsin is losing 4 of it’s 8 points awarded by the Brady Campaign. (Shall issue carry and parking lot). Now to get rid of those other 4 (Dealer record keeping and campus carry).
Awesome
November 3, 2010Come January, with a Republican majority in the WI Senate and Assembly, and a Republican Governor who’s said he will sign it, it’s only a matter of time before Wisconsin has concealed carry.
Quote of the Day – All Around You Edition
June 10, 2009Look, Rodney, this probably comes as a shock, but all those folks around you in the mall and Wally World and the grocery store may already be legally packing heat, they just had to unstrap if they wanted to grab a burger for lunch at Applebee’s instead of Hardee’s. This law just fixes that. Unclench and return to normal breathing, okay? You’re in no more danger of a shootout over the last bit of Bloomin’ Onion at Outback next month than you’ve been over the organic arugula at Kroger’s these last fifteen years or so… – Tam
Quote of the Day – Another Day Edition
June 3, 2009I’m competent, trained, and careful. I’m not going to shoot a kid for pushing another kid off a swing. Chances are, I will run from danger if I can. I don’t want to be a hero, nor do I secretly want to use my handgun. I just want to live to see another day. – Rustmeister
Quote of the Day – Simple Math Edition
April 5, 2009Heavy 5″ steel 1911 + OWB holster + church pew + sitting down too fast = BONK = concealment FAIL. If anyone noticed, they were too polite to say so. – pdb on Facebook
Quote of the Day – Exempt Edition
February 24, 2009Things being what they are, and for the point of this discussion, here in Florida you must apply for a Carries Concealed Weapon permit in order to have a concealed weapon on your person. Criminals are exempt from this licensing scheme, which is odd since that’s supposed to be the point of licensing or something, but I digress. – Robb
Steps towards CCW in IL
February 19, 2009SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – An Illinois House panel overwhelmingly approved legislation Wednesday that would allow residents to carry concealed handguns or other weapons in public. (STLtoday.com)
Good to see, whether is goes anywhere or not.
For my Wisconsin readers:
October 23, 2008Reminder:
CCW is still in play in Wisconsin. While Doyle will probably veto it, we have been VERY close to overrides. If we keep, or pick up, legislature seats in Wisconsin, we may be able to get it through. Get out and vote, make sure your friends do the same, and if you have the chance, get out and campaign.
