April 6, 2009I’m sick of hearing about the car czar, terrorism czar, cybersecurity czar… Do these people even know what a czar is? Do they understand the connotation – or is that the whole point? Are we fully embracing the dictatorial nature of our government these days? And what, they’re supposed to be cute when they rhyme or alliterate? Ahhhhhhhhhhh!

Another range suicide
April 2, 2009Uncle reported a guy that rented a gun and committed suicide with it, now this:
CALEDONIA — A Park High School teacher committed suicide at Shooters Sports Center Tuesday afternoon by shooting himself with a rented gun, according to Caledonia police.
The 37-year-old Racine man apparently went to Shooters, 4900 6 Mile Road, rented a gun and bought 50 rounds of ammunition to shoot on the range. Just before 3 p.m., other shooters on the firing range noticed him lying on the floor and called 911.
That hits really close. Shooters is the range I normally go to for handguns.
