KY Gov. Steve Beshear, speaking at a Democrat rally said:
“I can think of only one Republican that could be a problem solver,” he added. “And that is Vice President Cheney, if he would just take George on a hunting trip.”
Can you imagine the outrage if a Republican Governor had said something like this? Maybe recommending Clinton take a drive with Teddy Kennedy? There would be immediate calls for apologies, if not resignation. For any public official to wish for the death or serious injury of a sitting president (or anyone else not a convicted capitol criminal or enemy agent) should be ashamed.
