The Hill reports on some of the disagreements John McCain has had with gun owners in the past, one of the largest being the McCain-Feingold bill, and the Regulation of the Sale of Private Property Law. It is interesting that the first objection brought up by the NRA in the article is not a Second Amendment issue, but rather a First Amendment one. McCain-Feingold has been widely criticized as an infringement on the freedom of speech.
